用英语反映留守儿童的现象

With the rapid development of the society and the Chinese economy, more and more famers have left their hometown and gone into cities to find jobs so that they are able to have a higher income. Then the parents had to leave their kids behind. That’s why nowadays there are more and more stay-at-home children.
As it’s known to all, the negative effects of the unattended children outweigh the benefits. Being far away from their parents, these children will feel lonely. On the other hand, there is the generation gap between the grandchildren and grandparents. If they face some difficult problems, they will have no idea how to solve them. What’s more, grandparents always dote on the children and meet all what they want. How about children’s study? We should think the problem over.
In my opinion, the phenomenon of stay-at-home children is becoming a serious social problem so our government should play a role. Perhaps the government could establish some boarding schools and enlist some volunteers to help these kids so that they could be taken care of and close to their parents.
