too...to：太..........而不能
too＋adj./adv.＋for sb./ sth.to do /be V-ed
在"too...to"结构中加上一个for sb./sth.,以提示动词不定式（to carry）的逻辑主语，可以起到一定的限制作用，即限制不定式（to carry）所表示的动作行为（carry）只是就它的逻辑主语（the little boy）而言的，对于其他人或物则不一定是这样，这就使句子意思更具体、明白。
The box is too heavy for the little boy to carry.
这个盒子太重，小男孩搬不动。（其他人可能会搬得动。）
句子主语和不定式的宾语是指同一个事物，则宾语不能重复，必须省掉，有时甚至其后的to do也可以省去。

回答：too…to的意思是“太。。。以至于不能。。。”，它的同义短语是so… that sb. can’t do… 如：The math problem is too difficult for me to work out.The math problem is so difficult that I can’t work it out.
