Fresh: Fresh squeezed juice, which can be packaged in paperboard cartons or glass or plastic bottles, has not been processed. Traditionally, having been neither frozen nor pasteurized, this highly perishable juice type had a short shelf life. Fresh packaged juice manufacturers have adopted pasteurization in recent years,
however, in the wake of health scares.
