The responsibility for food safety of our government and the enterprises has a certain social and time nature and it is a social problem of great concern for the people. The value of China's food industry output exceeded 9 trillion yuan in 2014. But in recent years, frequent food safety accidents, such as clenbuterol event, Wang Laoji add-event, big head doll event, etc. have a serious influence on the health and life security of our country's 1.3 billion people. And the responsibility of food safety problem has, beyond any doubt, fallen on the government and enterprises. Through analyzing the status quo of China's food safety and responsibility and drawing lessons from the foreign food safety policies, this paper has put forward the suggestions to solve the food safety problems in China.
