图纸要求 DUPLEX NICKEL CHROME 查了一下是电镀镍铬，请问是先电镀镍底，再镀铬？还是电镀镍铬合金的意思

First a nickel strike is applied which gives superior adhesion of the plating to the base metal.  Then a sulfur-free (or semi-bright) layer of nickel is applied followed by the bright layer of nickel.   Next comes a layer of Micro-Kote® which is an additional layer of nickel that is plated on the part prior to the chromium deposit.  Finally, the layer of chromium is applied:

This two layer nickel system plus our Micro-Kote®process  gives extremely strong protection in salt spray and CASS tests.  This type of plating is typically required for any nickel chrome plated exterior automotive parts.
