也可以说：would do rather than do
I would rather stay home than go shopping.
我宁愿呆在家里也不愿去买东西。
prefer to do rather than do
(to do就接rather than do)
prefer doing to doing

(doing接to doing)
这两个结构的意思是：
跟……相比，更喜欢做……
I prefer to stay home rather than go shopping.
I prefer staying home to going shopping.
跟买东西相比，我更喜欢呆在家里。

这里应该是to do
prefer+() rather than+() ，（）部分应该是一样的结构，要么都用to do,要么都用doing

每种短语是不同的，prefer to do sth, prefer sth to sth, prefer doing sth to doing sth
