In order to study the feasibility/applicability of ground-source heat pump system in the Wuhu region, we carried out experiments on the heat transfer capacity of pump systems with U tubes. During the experiment, we simulated two working conditions: heat dissipation mode in summer and heat generation mode in winter. From the experiment, we came to the conclusion that it was more efficient and environmentally friendly to adopt the ground-source heat pump system with U tubes than the traditional air conditioning system. In order to research usability of ground source heat pump system in Wuhu the test and study had been carried out which is for the heat-transfering ability of U-type pipe ground source heat pump system and the two operating conditions about summer radiating test and winter radiating test were imitated experimentally. The experiment indicated that compared with trational air condition system U-type pipe ground source heat pump system was typical of energy conservation, environmental protection, and had a broad prospect of development and utilization in Wuhu.
