Any person with Chinese nationality can be a Hong Kong permanent resident if at the time of his/her birth, either parent is a Hong Kong permanent resident with Chinese race.
Any person can apply for the one-way permit, if he/she was under the age of 14 and either parent had obtained the identity of Hong Kong resident before 1st November, 2001.
