什么时候用that?为什么有时候写英语作文，我用that老师说是错的？？？？？

第一，“that”在英文中可以用作形容词
That boy is clever.
第二 ，用作连词，引导名词性从句,状语从句和强调句。
I didn't expect (that) he could win the championship. （宾语从句）
That the earth goes around the sun is known to everyone. （主语从句）
（It is known to everyone that the earth goes around the sun.）
The trouble is that we are short of money.（表语从句）
The news that he resigned from office surprised us.(同位语从句)
It is me that have finished the task。（强调句）
I am afraid that I will fail in the driving test.（状语从句）
第三， 用作代词，既可作指示代词
也可用作关系代词，引导限制性定语从句。先行词可人可物，用法相当于who或which。
但是在下列情况下多用that：先行词既有人又有物时；先行词有形容词最高级、序数词、先行词是anything，everything，none，nothing等不定代词时、very，only little all 等修饰时；先行词是不定代词时。
请注意，that 在定语从句中作宾语时可省略。
The dog(that)his mother gave him will make him happy.
第四，用作关系副词，引导定语从句可以省略。
I was so happy that I couldn’help laughing.
I will never forget the morning(that) / when we played football.
与that 有关的常见重要短语。 now that(既然)， in that (由于),
seeing that (由于) see (to it) that（注意、务必做到）

一般情况下 用作动词宾语也就是宾语从句的时候多 比如 i think that ， i suppose that，it was said that ，i will remember that 等等，还有从句也会用that 那就涉及很多语法。。。就是各种从句 还有that的用法 如果你很想用that的话，你可以选择在平时背一些带有that的模板句子 赞同

不过，that 在从句中用的特别广泛，可以引导多种从句。（主语，宾语，定语，表语，同位语）
举例如下：
That Tai wang is part of China is well-konwn to us.(众所周知，台湾是祖国的一部分)
I think that you are right.（我认为你是对的）
He is a man that I don`t like.（他是一个我不喜欢的人）
that 还可以用在强调句中。
It is he that helped me yesterday.
