一、关于consist的短语
1.consist of (只能用于主动语态，不能用于被动语态) = be made up of 由……组成;由……构成
2.consist in 在于;存在于
3.consist with 符合;一致
4.sonsistent adj.相符的;一致的
5.be consistent with 和……一致;和……相符
6.consistently adv.一贯地

二、consist of / make of / made up of 的区别
1.三者都有"组成"的意思，但在使用上是有所不同的
2.consist of 不能用于被动语态。相当于include的意思。
3.make up为主动形式，表示"部分组成一个整体"的意思。另外它还有"化妆;编造;占……(比例)"的意思。但是值得注意的是，take up 也有"占……"的意思，但指的是"某样东西占据空间"。
3.be made up of 由……组成，这里为被动形式，表示"一个整体是由几个部分组成的"的意思。

三、be made up of 的详解
1.be made up of 由……组成，这里为被动形式，表示"一个整体是由几个部分组成的"的意思
2.make up 为它的主动形式，意思有 虚构，编造;弥补;补(考、课);化妆;占……(比例)
3.be made in 在……地方制造 eg: The table is made in China .
4.be made of 由……制造(看得出原材料) eg:The table is made of that wood .
5.be made from 由……制成(看不出原材料) eg:This kind of paper is made from that grass .
6.be made into 被制成…… eg: The grass can be made into paper .
