online learning is not easy. In fact, earning a degree online may be
more difficult than going to a local college campus to take
classes. Since most of us are used to the traditional classroom model
(complete with a teacher professor constantly reminding you of upcoming
deadlines), you may have a tough time handling the increased level of
discipline and personal responsibility associated with distance
education. Some students may actually work better in the online
environment. For example, introverted learners may find online class
discussions easier to participate in than face-to-face discussions since
they have time to formulate a response before posting. So while
online learning won't have less work, the flexibility (and perhaps a
better fit with your learning style) may make your learning experience
more enjoyable and enriching.
