I'm glad to hear from you and i feel sorry for your unlucky experience.
I know that it's hard to reject friends,however you should insist on your belief.I have some tips for you ,hoping to help you.
First ,you should make it clear to your classmates that you do not want to skip classes or smoke.Then you may talk to them sincerely that their behaviors are not proper.If they do not listen to you, you'd better get away from them little by little.Do not show any interest in their behaviors.In that way,you may suffer a lot peer pressure,but I think it worthy.You can make friends with others ,like me.I won't betray you .
A friend in need is a friend indeed.You should not change you thought and stick to it.
