小西弓金矿床各矿(化)体呈群或带分布,主要受NWW向韧脆性压扭性构造变形带控制。这些NWW向韧脆性变形带是韧性变形带演化过程中,被抬升进入到韧脆性变形域后继续发生的变形,它是岩石变形由韧性向脆性演化的重要阶段,具有韧性变形和脆性破碎之间的过渡和双重特点(陈柏林等,2002a)。根据控矿构造的展布特点和矿化体的组合关系,可将矿区内的金矿化带分为北、中、南三个矿带(图5-2)。北矿带出露在矿区北侧,其空间展布形态完全受韧脆性-脆性构造变形带控制,长2000 m,宽约10~20 m,走向290°~300°,倾向NNE,倾角近于直立。金矿体的直接围岩是西尖山群上亚群第二岩性组,矿体产于韧脆性构造带内或者顶底板一定范围内的矿化蚀变韧脆性糜棱岩或构造片岩中。北矿带内已圈出矿体4个,单个矿体长50~150 m,平均宽0.8~3 m,斜深50~150 m,金含量变化范围为(1.54~3.13)×10-6。中矿带出露在矿区中部,受韧脆性-韧性构造变形带控制,长约3000 m,宽约50~200 m,走向280°~310°,倾向NNE,倾角80°~88°。矿体的直接围岩是西尖山群上亚群第五岩性组,矿体产于韧脆性构造带内或者顶底板一定范围内的矿化蚀变韧脆性糜棱岩或构造片岩中。中矿带内已圈出矿体4个,单个矿体长100~200 m,平均宽0.95~5.10 m,斜深75~138 m,金品位1.53~2.52 g/t。南矿带是小西弓矿区的主矿带,出露在矿区南部,受韧脆性-脆性构造变形带控制,长达7 km,宽约200~500 m,走向280°~310°,倾向NNE,倾角80°~88°。矿带的直接围岩是西尖山群上亚群第四岩性组二云母构造片岩和蚀变石英闪长岩,矿体分段出现,其中141~192勘探线间的矿体即已构成中等规模的金矿床,其他地段单个矿体长20~250 m,平均宽1~5 m,斜深120~187 m,金含量为(1.5~15)×10-6(陈柏林等,2003)。

南矿带141~192线间构成小西弓金矿床的主体,其中矿体形态以脉状、不规则脉状为主,少数呈透镜状。矿体沿走向和倾向呈舒缓波状、弯曲状延伸,具有膨胀、狭缩、平行排列和尖灭再现等特点。矿体总体走向为NWW向,与控矿断裂带的产状一致,绝大多数金矿体在平面上沿F3压扭性断裂带呈S形弯曲状分布。矿体长度一般为20~75 m,最长者达425 m,厚度一般0.34~1.0 m,最厚达16.4 m,斜深一般25~100 m,最大已控制斜深455 m,矿体的水平长度明显小于倾向延伸。
