Cultural differences inevitably exist in international business negotiations; accordingly, this paper discusses what causes cultural differences between China and western courtiers in terms of perspectives of space, time, values and way of thinking. This paper analyzes influences of cultural differences on business negotiations with respect to various manifestations such as principles and particulars, collectivity and individual, authority and social ranks, traditional morality and awareness of rule by law, reputation and interests between China and western courtiers. In the conclusion, this paper summarizes lessons learned from the above details so as to avoid influences of cultural differences in business negotiation and ensure a smooth negotiation.
