Life is all about finding our right position in life and society. When we are presented with criticism or praise,it is always crucial for us to learn to selectively accept them so that they are not so strayed away from our own perceptions of who we think we are and who we want to be and that they are somewhat helpful to our future developments.
Frankly speaking,no one likes to be panned by others, not to be mention harshly panned right in the head. Thus, here is where things get tricky:it is in your nature to detest criticisms but the smart thing to do is to actually really take some time to consider them.Had people gotten the whole picture before making the critique? Are they being fair? Are they trying to give sincere advice?Or are they just acting on self-serving motivations? After these questions are being seriously thought,we are able to determine whether these pieces of criticism are constructive or not.Recept the not so pleasant yet helpful ones and simply drop the rest.
On the other hand, when we are met with approval,do our little cheer but always keep in mind that there's always space for more progress.Certainly we won't want to be overwhelmed with pride and get it to obstruct our paths of becoming better and more capable people,do we?Let the ones who moderately acclaim you boost your confidence and courage and have the ones that are much too flattering pass by quickly. And then a perfect balance will be maintained.
In conclusion, accept the constructive criticisms and remember that a bit of applause doesn't get us anywhere.
